The Bakersfield College women's tennis team was rained out of their first scrimmage of the season against Fresno City and as a result, was rescheduled for Monday, Feb. 1. Head coach Gene Lundquist was looking forward to getting the team out to see what they can do in a live situation.

On Jan. 23, the Bakersfield College women's basketball team went into overtime but came up short against Santa Monica College. Coach Paula Dahl talked about the Jan. 23 loss. "I was quite pleased with our efforts against Santa Monica. Our issue has been the same all season, which is we don't dominant the boards like we should," said Dahl.

Bakersfield College's baseball team will start the season hosting a tournament with an opening game against Irvine Valley on Feb. 4. Renegades head coach Tim Painton feels they have improved in every aspect of the game and this is in large part due to having the luxury of playing a full season at home.
Director of Athletics Jan Stuebbe has been out since the beginning of the semester and is said to be returning in February. According to the Associate Director of Athletics Sandi Taylor, Stuebbe should be back within the month. "He's out on medical leave," said Taylor.

The 2010 Bakersfield College softball team is more than ready to start the new season, especially now that BC has a new field to call its own. "We are very excited for the new field," said coach Sandi Taylor. "We played off campus last year, and it was a nightmare so we are excited beyond belief.
